OFTSED 2024
Following our recent two-day ungraded inspection, I am pleased to be able to share our final Ofsted report.
Both staff and school governors were delighted that the inspection concluded that we remain GOOD and, whilst the report is more concise and less detailed than a graded inspection report, the inspector was very complimentary about our school.
Many changes have been implemented in school over the past 2 years to improve standards and ensure our pupils are receiving the best. It was reassuring and rewarding to be inspected under the challenging new framework, and have all of this hard work recognised and complimented.
The feedback the Ofsted inspector gave us in person was so positive and complimentary. As stated, the attached report provides just a brief overview so in addition, I wanted to share with you all some of the positive comments, that had us feeling very proud and quite emotional in the feedback sessions.
- Pupils are so well mannered and are able to talk with confidence about their learning
- It is clear that Pupil Voice is valued and pupils are aware of this and feel important and heard
- The hard work over the past few years in redeveloping our curriculum has been well thought and the impact is now being seen, with excellent planning and practise in some areas and this is now being addressed across the whole curriculum
- Behaviour is very good and the changes and implemented systems have had a positive impact on improving this
- School is a happy place and has a lovely welcoming feel
- Well-being and the support for pupils is valued and has a positive impact
- Staff support each other well
- Pupils know and talk about school values, British Values and Protected Characteristics with understanding and compassion
The inspector said that she had absolute confidence in the school leadership and that the ongoing work and improvements would continue to be driven forward and embedded, which was wonderful to hear!
We have had changes in our team which has brought its own challenges, and we still have work to do, but we are all committed to ensuring that all children at Coppice Farm Primary grow, are encouraged to be the best that they can be and are happy, leaving our school prepared for their continued learning and life journey.
Thank you to our Governors and to our parents and carers who have supported us and contribute to ensure our school community is a safe, happy and thriving space.
