At Coppice Farm Primary School, we are proud to be nurturing and inclusive, where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
We believe that every teacher is a teacher of SEND. This means that inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. Our experienced staff are committed to creating a learning environment where all children, regardless of ability, feel safe, respected, and inspired to learn.
In our classrooms, you’ll find adaptations tailored to individual needs, ensuring that every child can access the curriculum in a way that works best for them. From differentiated learning materials to sensory-friendly spaces, we work closely with families and specialists to make learning meaningful and accessible.
We take a child-centred approach, working in partnership with parents, carers, and children to ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met. Our collaborative work with external agencies, including the Speech and Language Team (SaLT), Gedling Area Partnership (GAP), SEN Inclusion Service (SIS), and the Healthy Families Team (HFT), helps us to understand and support each child effectively.
We also offer a range of services to support parents and carers, including:
- Termly SEN review meetings
- Open communication with our SENCo
- Access to external agencies and professionals
- Workshops and resources to help families understand and support their child’s learning journey
- Emotional and wellbeing support through our pastoral care team / ELSA provision
Together, we build a community where every child feels seen, heard, and empowered.
